Another 3 weeks of lockdown takes us to the biblical level of 40 days and 40 nights. Before his temptation, Jesus fasted "forty days and forty nights" in the Judean desert (Matthew 4:2, Mark 1:13, Luke 4:2). Forty days was the period from the resurrection of Jesus to the ascension of Jesus (Acts 1:3).
I am not saying that we are suffering in the same way as Jesus but we are all being tested, no matter what our religion.
40 is a significant number. A relevant number in terms of a global pandemic. The word "quarantine" originates from quarantena, the Venetian language form, meaning "forty days". This is due to the 40-day isolation of ships and people practiced as a measure of disease prevention related to the plague.
There is no doubt that the world and the way we view the world will be different when this lockdown period ends. The way we socialise and the way we work may never be the same again. If you have a business you should use this time away from “working in” your business to concentrating on “working on” your business.
